Rosebery Road Methodist Church

Unfortunately, the meeting planned for Tuesday 6th February has had to be cancelled, as Rev Mary will not be available to lead it. The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday 5th March.

There will be no meeting on Wednesday 3rd January but regular meetings will restart on Wednesday 17th January.

We have recently had a Wi-Fi connection installed in the Calvert Hall suite, and the login details are displayed on the noticeboards in the Hall foyer and the Lecture Room. The signal from the hub does not presently reach all the way to the church side of the building but more access points can be added if there is a need once we find out how much use is being made of the facility.

This year’s Church party will take place on Saturday 10th February from 3.00pm to 6.00pm in the Lecture Room. There will be table games, a chance for a chat, and a bring-and-share tea. All welcome to come along and join in this time of fellowship.

The next meeting will be at 2.30pm on Tuesday 2nd January, and the passage for discussion will be Ephesians chapter 2. Please read this in your chosen version of the Bible before the meeting. All welcome.

We are pleased to say that our link with Angel Road School has been re-established, and we look forward to welcoming the Year 3 children on Thursday 7th December when they come to look at the Cribs and Trees displays.

We’ve been working hard all week to set up the displays for the Festival, and are pleased with the results. Many thanks to everyone who has helped.

The Festival will be open on Saturday 2nd, Sunday 3rd, Friday 8th, Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th December from 10.30am to 4.00pm (from 12 noon on the Sundays), and we look forward to welcoming visitors old and new. See earlier post for more details.

There will be no meeting in December. The next one will be in January – date and passage for discussion to be confirmed later.

The Christingle Service will be at 4.00pm on Sunday 10th December, to round off our Cribs and Trees Festival (for details see previous post). There will be a Candlelit Carol Service at 6.30pm on Sunday 17th December – followed by light refreshments – and a Christmas Day Celebration at 10.30am on Monday 25th December (no service on Sunday 24th). We would love to see friends old and new at any or all of the services.

Here’s the poster for this year’s Cribs and Trees Festival. The displays will be left up until the New Year, so if you come to any Sunday services during December or the first week in January you will be able to look at them. We’d love to see you!
